Message
from the president
Entering this work report that meets corporate Memory 2012
start by expressing our appreciation for the acceptance that
has been standardized bond placement by RECOPE in the local
market at a very attractive rate, which shows the confidence you
have since the market RECOPE finances and projects that we are
developing, since precisely because these funds are going to
take forward the strategic investment plan for the supply of fuel.
The first auction held at the end of the year 2012 on the National
Stock Exchange, had a very good demand from investors, which
leads us to say that it is a very successful initiative. This project
involves a historic challenge in which RECOPE can position itself
as a company of prestigious national and international access
new sources of long-term financing of lower financial costs,
improve their bargaining banking and financial position and
run investment projects in a timely and agile.
2012 will be remembered as an important year for the
development of the country’s oil infrastructure. He started
building a new area, was hired six additional horizontal vessels
that arrived in late November and were awarded four areas
more, all of which complete the new System Storage Liquefied
Petroleum Gas, which will raise the inventory to 150 thousand
barrels product.
For other fuel storage were also in process projects that together
will add one million barrels to the total capacity.

new Atlantic oil terminal, fast moving project.

from Juan Santamaria Airport and the new facilities of Bodegas
and Workshops in B Line and award of construction contracts
for the construction of the new headquarters in the Daniel
Oduber airport in Liberia, among others .
On the subject of the refinery in partnership with China, during
the year the meetings were held with different sectors of civil
society in order to report on the project. Among the areas
addressed were the College of Chemists, the Association of
Chinese Professionals, the Chamber of Industry, the National
Cooperative Federation of Taxi Drivers, ARESEP, media directors
and members of the national financial system.
There were also meetings with the national community made
at the University of Costa Rica, the Association of Journalists,
and the headquarters of the Union of Oil Workers and Allied
Chemicals (SITRAPEQUIA) in Limon, among other
