The investments associated with the Institutional Planning
Matrix (MAPI) for the year 2013, were comprised of six projects:
Expansion of the storage capacity in distribution
terminals to 320 mbbls:
The works consisting of the construction of eight tanks:
For December 31, 2013, the design phase had been
completed, with the most progress observed for the Barranca
terminal. Civil construction phase started in October, with soil
surveys, designs versions 01 and 02, and the construction of
the civil area by company ISIVEN, C.A. The tanks for La Garita
and El Alto terminals were in the preliminary phases. The
total cost of the project for the three terminals totals US$35.4
million. It is expected that the tanks are operational by March
2015.
PThis works included ¢329.53 million in the
modified budget for the term, with own funds, out of which
¢54.92 million were executed; also, ¢4,759.47 million were

meters each, and the construction of two Super
gasoline tanks, 5,600 cubic meters each, in La Garita.

(Terminal Petrolera Portuaria del Atlántico).
e) Pacific Terminal, Phase I.
f ) Expansion and modernization of the refinery to
60,000 bbl/day.

cubic meters) each, for Jet Fuel in Barranca Terminal.
Two tanks with a storage capacity of 35 mbbls each, for
regular gasoline in El Alto Terminal.
Four tanks with a storage capacity of 50 mbbls (two
for regular gasoline and two for diesel fuel) in La Garita
Terminal.

It consists of modifying the use of two tanks
used for storing Plus 91 gasoline, which were adapted
to store Jet A-1 fuel. Both tanks had a capacity of 3,975
cubic meters (25,000 barrels). Additionally, two tanks
for Jet A-1 fuel were replaced to store super gasoline
and two tanks were eliminated [one tank with a
capacity of 1,590 cubic meters (10,000 barrels) and the
other one with a capacity of 3,975 cubic meters (25,000
