All this work responds to the commitment to customer
service, procurement of equipment, materials and chemical
products, based on the quality and quantity of the product
supplied. The importance of ensuring these results by the
laboratories mainly involved the degree of the specification that
the product for national distribution must comply with, for the
adequate operation of motors and boilers in the country.
By the end of the year 2013, ARESEP officially and
publicly acknowledged that RECOPE passed 100% of the quality
inspections performed during the year on their products, by the
laboratories at the University of Costa Rica, LANAMME and CELEQ.
Metrology
TheMetrologyManagement Systemextended
its accreditation to include mass scale. It was started with the
inspection service to thermometers in the product loaders, to
ensure measurements for volume conversions are
performed under the reference conditions included in
the inventory.
Remodeling and expansion of the National
Metrology Laboratory started in the El Alto terminal,
to be finished by the second semester of the year
2014. Also, the metrology laboratories were relocated
in La Garita and Moín terminals, improving metrology
services in the area and protecting the reference
standards.
Processes started for the purchase of
approximately 60 million colones in equipment and a
professional in chemical engineeringwas incorporated
to the project to provide support to the Department.
