The largest share of imports for previous years comes from the United
States, reaching a share of 93.73% for 2014
Shipments
During the year 2014, were received 141 cargoes, 140 shipments , (129
at port Moín and 11 in port Caldera - Pacific coast) and 1 by tanker truck.
The product received at port Caldera was 1.19 million barrels of fuel oil
No.6 1.8%S, was sold to ICE´s thermoelectric plant located Garabito., Pacific Coast.
ICE is the largest electrical state-owned company for production and distribution of
electricity.
An increase of 11 cargoes by sea were receive during 2014 compared to
2013, based on the increase in fuel imports by port Caldera.
