The Customer Service Departments from the Customer
Experience Center (CEC) and the Information Technology
department (DTI) managed to consolidate the implementation
of SAP Sales Statistics, as supported in the Business Intelligence
module (BI). This product is necessary for the generation of
financial statements that are sent to external entities such as
the Autoridad Reguladora de Servicios Públicos (ARESEP).
The ORACLE and Fox systems that supported the Customer
Service Department in generating sales statistics for years were
thus replaced to make way for a modern system that eased
statistical data extraction, certification and load.
Early sale statistics reports that used the BI tool correspond
to the financial statements of March 2012 that were sent to
ARESEP.
The BI tool is “a mirror” of data at the source, for both GIS and
the Airport Billing Systems, hence the careful exercise with
regards to: the quality of data incorporated upon turnover, in
the preparation of credit notes / debit adjustments, exchange
rate adjustments, conversion of volume, the use of financial
accounts (domestic and exports) and the general management
of master data. Any inconsistency will be reflected in the
statistics.
Strategic planning helped to designate special Reflection Areas
to fulfill financial, administrative and development goals. These
reflection spaces helped the administrative staff to analyze
situations, attitudes and activities that had to be strengthened,
modified, and erased in order to form highly effective teams.
A workshop and diverse activities at headquarters were carried
out in order to: cultivate the smooth running of teams within
the organization, effective leadership, motivation, feedback
and emotional intelligence. These activities nurtured a friendly
environment, and allowed for experiences and situations that
contributed in creating bonds, integration, and understanding
of other colleague’s areas of work, to improve the working
environment and to get feedback, among others.
