As a part of its corporate policy
RECOPE recognizes that health,
environmental protection and
safety are universal values that
have a higher priority over
other issues such as production,
transportation, sales or costs. This
principle is part of the company
policy that guides operational and
service activities in the industry.
A specific policy statement
holds that: “RECOPE, in fulfilling
its mission, is committed to
promoting
and
maintaining
excellence
in
continuous
improvement of management,
its operations and activities, so as
to protect the health and safety
of its employees, contractors,
customers, communities and the
environment, all in the context
of corporate social responsibility”
this is implemented through an
integrated health, environment
and safety system.
Since
2010
RECOPE
has
progressed in the implementation
process of the environment,
health and safety integrated
management system (SIGAS&SI).
This project seeks to ensure, in
the short and long term, good
performance in the fields of social
and environmental responsibility
and integrating activities that
result in the preservation and
pursuit of quality of life of
employees, customers, suppliers,
communities
and
society
in general, whilst achieving
sustainable development.
This project was born in response
to the Improvement Action
Plan validated by leaders and
coordinators of 22 process teams
that identified, validated and
scheduled all the necessary tasks
to be carried out in line with
ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
certification standards, and to
incorporate the criteria detailed
by safety processes management
system OHSAS 3132.
