LPG prices increased slightly in US$1.73. Gasoline
and diesel prices decreased by US$3.47 and US$0.58 per
barrel, respectively. The price of biofuel also decreased as a
result of market tendencies, geopolitical events and a strong
winter at the end of the last quarter of the year 2013.
The imported volumes increased during the last year, while
trends show a decrease in the average prices, as mentioned
earlier.
Regarding the types of contracts, a total of
US$2176 million were imported through international
bids, representing 99.77% of the total imports value and
the remaining amount is represented by contracts totaling
US$1.1 million and US$3.77 million through government
bids.
The largest participant on imports during the last
years has been the United States of America, reaching 87.71%
by December 31st, 2013
