engineering and details for the various specialties and the
review of stockpiles and approval process for the materials
to be used in the breakwater (nucleus, filter and inner shell)
integrated to the structure. A weighing station was installed
in the project area where all material used in the construction
is weighted, as a control tool.
The modified budget for the project with own funds
for the survey term is ¢491.31 million, out of which ¢158.37
million have been executed (32.2%). Regarding financing
with bonds, there is a modified budget of ¢10,951.11 million
by December 31, 2013, out of which ¢5,019.76 million have
been executed (45.8%).
The precast concrete blocks, known as “acropods”,
used for the breakwater shell are being built in the country,
with a special mould brought in for that purpose.
Expansion and modernization of the refinery
To December 31, 2013, the modified budget for
these projects is ¢35,583.08 million and ¢15,874.16 million
has been executed, representing 44.61%.
Among the key projects taken into considering
and having an impact on the budget execution obtained to
December 21, 2013, are the following:
Construction of three tanks with a storage capacity
of 100,000 barrels of Super gasoline, 100,000 barrels of bunker
and 350,000 thousand barrels of diesel fuel for the Refinery,
for the storage area in Limón (1250-558). To December 31,
2013, the modified budget for the project is ¢9,561.69 million
(34% of the total amount assigned to storage) and ¢479.60
million has been executed (5%), as the commencement order
for the engineering phase was issued until September 25,
2013.
