AC-30 Asphalt
In 2014, Asphalt AC-30 sales reached a share in the domestic market
of 2.09% (64,555 m³) ranking the sixth most sold product. With respect to 2013,
cumulative sales of this product increased by 8.08% (4,824 m³).
During 2014, AC-30 was sold to construction companies, representing
89.25% (57,613 m³), to MOPT 7.20% (4,647 m³) and peddlers with 3.56% (2295
m³) participation. This product presents seasonal variations depending on Conavi´s
budget for maintenance of the road network.
Analysis of sales per Terminal
Sales in RECOPE Terminals represented
93.65% (2,891,699 m³), they are mainly
concentrated in La Garita, El Alto, Moín and Barranca.
Regarding those which showed
increased their sales over the previous year, La
Garita increased by 2.64%, Moín by 4.76% and
Barranca by 2.62%. The sales growth in Barranca are
explained by the increase in sales to ICE, which are
processed in that Terminal.
Sales at airports represent 6.35%
(195m977m³), the largest buyer being International
Airport Juan Santamaría. During the 2013-2014
term, International Airport Juan Santamaria with
0.83% and Daniel Oduber Q. Airport showed an
increase of 7.09%.
In late April 2014, RECOPE began selling Diesel 50 and Premiumgasoline
91 to the Daniel Oduber Q. Airport. Cumulative sales for 2014 were 2 m³ for both
products. In International Airport Juan Santamaría, sales for Diesel 50 and Premium
gasoline 91 began in the month of October 2014, with sales at year end of 31 m³ for
Diesel 50 and 0.076 m³ for Plus 91.
