Constructionof four tanks for black product in theRefinery Terminal: two
tanks with a storage capacity of 15,000 barrels for bunker and two tanks
with a storage capacity of 15,000 barrels of asphalt
Currently the project is in the implementation phase, but progress was
made in placing and filling concrete rings for the asphalt tanks and cathode protection,
as well as the shell sheets.
Work continued in the bunker tanks, including in painting of the shell and
roof sheets surround. Progress was also made in the construction of the pump shed
and placing the product and steam pipeline.
LPG storage system (SAGAS)
Startup of six horizontal cylindrical tanks was successfully executed, with
a capacity of 250 m3 each, which are part of the LPG storage system SAGAS), being
built in the RECOPE Terminal located in Moín, in the province of Limón.
With these six horizontal tanks being operation, storage capacity
increased in 1,500m3 (9,000 barrels) for LPG in the refinery facilities inMoín. The cost
of this project totaled $10,481,266.
The company in charge for the design, purchasing of materials and
construction of the six tanks was Felguera I.H.S.A., from Spain. Also, it was in charge
of the construction works for the propane storage tanks with an individual capacity of
4,000 m3 (25,000 barrels), which are part of the SAGAS project. The first one started
operations in August 2013, with a total cost of $12,069,672 and the other four are
under construction.
