Training activities
With regards to staff training and with the goal of ensuring technical
competence and compliance with the accreditation requisites, the Metrology
Department provided training in the following areas:
Measurement and calibration of temperature instruments.
Measurement and calibration of pressure instruments.
Management personnel was trained as internal auditors, according to INTE / ISO-
IEC17025: 2005 standard.
Validation of test methods.
Theoretical and experimental metrology course regarding humidity in gases, to
comply with the future goal of extending the accreditation scope for the department.
Also, staff at the corporate metrology laboratory participated in a training session in
2014 for measurement of humidity in gases at Centro Nacional de Metrología de
México (CENAM), which will be useful when working into the calibration of relative
humiditymeters. Additionally, staffat theQualityControl Laboratory, includinganalysts
2 and replacement staff received exhaustive training in the use and maintenance of
the Waukesha octane equipment and the automated XCP panel.
