As business soacil responsibility,
there are more than twenty years
of taking up the issue, even before
the birth of the CSR approach, as
companies’ strategic concept.
With the approval of the
Legislative Assembly of the Law
of Municipal Development (IFAM)
was authorized municipalities
to
contribute
by
donating
asphalt and emulsified asphalt
for construction and repair of
roads. The people of the 81
counties of the country have
witnessed the implementation
of the grant program conducted
by RECOPE asphalt and with
which many of the cantonal
and neighborhood streets have
achieved another good face for
each of the inhabitants , and
agricultural production. For 2012,
they donated 1,201,101 liters
equivalent to ¢ 359.441.953.09.
In Area no country has refineries
that local needs are met. Like
Costa Rica, all several years
looking for ways to build refineries
that will ensure domestic supply,
through partnerships.
They are also fundamental
economic contributions made
to the Comisión Nacional de
Emergencias (CNE) which is
empowered to do by law, to
declarations of emergency, in
order to deal with situations
caused by hurricanes, rains and
earthquakes,
