RECOPEANNUALREPORT2014
Era
With the help of technology, RECOPE is starting to position the in the
national policy of zero paper, while ensuring accessibility and compliance with Law
Number 7600. A huge step forward in this matter has been the development of cloud
based courier services, which generate savings of more than one million dollars
and the purchase of digital certificates issued by CA SINPE, which allows electronic
signature of documents.
The department in charge of these processes is the IT Department, which
has contributed to an improvement in the level of transactions and the integration
of all areas, with mechanisms that ensure higher security in transferring documents,
with a lower investment in time and resources, contributing to positioning the concept
of zero paper with tools, such as Adobe, LiveCycle, Adobe PDF Generator and Adobe
Extensions, enabling digital signatures for standard documents for transferring
information. With these services, an 80% reduction of paper was been reached, plus
a decrease in courier services.
Below, the main achievements in this area during the year 2014 are
detailed.
Scanning and Document Management (ALFRESCO)
A tool that plays an important role in reducing the use of paper is called
Alfresco, a content manager for storing, categorizing, classifying and assigning
properties to information, which allows control of traceability over such documents.
In the year 2011, this service was implemented for the Procurement
Department, the Presidency, General Management, Quality Assurance, IT, Legal
Department and International Trade Department.
