RECOPEANNUALREPORT2014
Assurance
Quality
In 2014, the Autoridad Reguladora de Servicios Públicos (Regulatory
Authority for Public Services (ARESEP)), acknowledged the quality of gasoline and
diesel distributed by RECOPE, as stated in the “Results of the quality assessment of
fuels in service stations for the I semester 2014 report”, published in August, which
also happened for the II semester, published in February 2015.
The bi-annual assessments are part of the Fuel Quality Verification
Program executed by the regulating entity, through the Center Electrochemistry and
Chemical Energy (CELEQ) at UCR, which performs inspections in the Limon, El Alto, La
Garita and Barranca Terminals.
According to the report prepared by the Energy Intendance in ARESEP,
diesel and gasoline surpassed the quality levels established in national regulations.
This is shown by the quality analysis results from internal laboratories, which indicate
that octane tests in gasoline have complied with the current standards. The following
chart also shows that the company has complied with the sulfur mass standards for
gasoline, diesel and bunker.
Technical and servicemanagement
For the 2014 term, the following achievements were observed, as a result
of Quality Assurance management in the three specific areas that comprise it: Quality
Control System, Metrology System and Management System.
