For the Management System in Quality Control, the scope in the Atlantic region was
modified, decreasing from 8 to 5 accredited assays, but the 5 tests remaining showed
100%expansion for validated staff that can perform the test.
Regarding accredited magnitude mass, metrology department expanded the
accreditation for scope.
In 2014, during the external assessment performed during the month of
September, a request was presented to ECA for the incorporation of 6more laboratory
tests in the Quality Control Department, distributed among various laboratories.
Cross comparisons and validations
During this term, the metrology laboratories participated in national,
regional and bilateral cross comparisons with other laboratories in magnitudes of
high sensitivity for RECOPE, including mass, liquid flows and temperature. All thee
comparisons showed satisfactory results in all cases analyzed, which corroborates
the technical competence with which calibrations are performed in the Metrology
Department.In the area Quality Control, the results were also satisfactory with 80.5%
from 108 tests executed.

With the goal of complying with the requisites for accreditation under
INTE–ISO/IEC
17025:2005
and
providing continuous improvement
to the Quality Control and Metrology
system during the year 2014, the
Annual Internal Assessment Program
was executed, with 5 internal
assessment (2 for metrology and 3 for
quality control), allowing corrections
and improvement actions to be
implemented successfully during this
term.
