Secretary of RECOPE´S Board of Directors since May 27, 2014. Member of RECOPE´S Auditing
Committee (appointed in June 2014). Holds a Licentiate Degree in Civil Engineering from UCR, where she
worked as an engineering assistant. She worked in the national housing institute, (Instituto Nacional de Vivienda
y Urbanismo - INVU); she was head of the Engineering Department in the institute of municipal development
and assistance (Instituto de Fomento y Asesoría Municipal - IFAM). She acted as a consultant for the World Bank
and for private projects, as well as an assistant for Procap-CINDE Management, member of the Counsel for the
district of Piedades, Santa Ana, Vice-president for the board of () and President and municipal councilor for
Santa Ana.
GilbertodelaCruzMalavassi
Treasurer of RECOPE´S Board of Directors, sworn in on May 27, 2014. Holds a Licentiate Degree in
Civil Engineering from UCR, with postgraduate studies in Hydroelectric Developments (Planning, Design and
Construction) in the University of Trohheim, Norway; graduate of the “Master’s Program in Public Administration”
at UCR and “Advanced Management Program (PAG) XXXIX” taught by INCAE. He has made career in ICE as an
Engineering assistant and Civil Engineer in the Hydraulic Designs Office of the Energy Engineering Department
(DIE). He has also been head of the Office of Water Designs at DIE and the Energy Development Sub-department
(SDE), were he also was in charge of the Project Programming and Consulting Department, deputy head of the
Loans and Projects Department (DAPP) and head of the Construction Department of Energy (DCE). He was also
CEO of the National Center of Electrical Planning for the Electric Department and CEO of Planning and Electricity
Development and the Electricity Department.
