Total sales by product in 2015 were 3,023,880

, classified entirely as domestic sales, as there
were no exports in the same period. Product sales
dropped 2.1% (to 63,740 m
3
) in comparison to the
previous year (2014). Some products, however,
showed an increase in sales over the same period.
The product with the highest sales growth rate was
Asphalt AC 30 (29.5%); this due to an increase in
sales – near the end of the year – as a result of the
National Road Commission’s (CONAVI as per its
acronym in Spanish) Road Renovation Program. The
product with the second highest sales growth rate
was premium gasoline, which increased by 14.8%.
This is further supported by the change in price; as
gas prices drop, motorists are more likely to splurge
on high-octane fuel. Total JET A-1 sales increased by
9.2%, due to an influx of tourists.
Diesel 50 increased by 5.3%; LPG by 5.2%; and Gas
Plus 91 by 3.1%.
