Donations
In 2016, the legislative branch
authorized donations in coordination
with the Department of Administration of
General Services that included office and
computer equipment to seven boards of
education and one management board -
in accordance with Law 8906 (reform of
Law 8034) -, as published in La Gaceta
publication number 25 from February 4,
2011.
The schools benefitted by the donations
included Buenos Aires de Horquetas,
Sarapiquí, La Guaría de Guápiles, Líder de
Cimarrones, Limón, la Unidad Pedagógica
Casa Hogar Tía Tere- Siquirres, Ballena de
Osa, Puntarenas, and Carlos Monge Alfaro
and La Angelina de Cartago schools. Office
equipment was also delivered to Colegio
Técnico de Calle Blancos.
The total cost of equipment donated to
schools and high schools as of December
2016 was approximately $4,700.
