2016 ANNUAL REPORT
2017, resulting from a reduced use
of the flare, is expected to decrease
by 403 m

(28.5 m

/day), which
would equal approximately $78,448
per year (the average annual CIF
price of LPG is $194.66/m³).

Implementing an automated
steam injection system in
tanks and heat exchangers
/ Dual fuel (LPG or Bunker
C) boiler.
This measure is part
of the overall effort of RECOPE to
reduce the use of fuels through a
more adequate heating of black
petroleum products such as bunker,
asphalt, and IFOs.
The system controls the steam
injectionat specificplaces in the tank
and heat exchangers to maintain the
required temperatures. The Moín
terminal has 3 boilers that generate
steam to heat tanks containing
black petroleum products such as
bunker and asphalt. In September
2016, a state-of-the-art dual burner
for LPG and bunker was installed
and activated on one of the boilers.
Replacing bunker with LPG allows
for a reduction of greenhouse gases
by 18% to 20%. In 2017, burners
are expected to be installed on
other boilers.
