The Path to Development Program
Asphalt and asphalt
emulsion donations
In 2016, the company donated asphalt
and asphalt emulsions to 13 different
municipalities nationwide, on the legal
basis of Act No. 7794 (Municipal Code),
article 67, and RECOPE’s Asphalt and
Asphalt Emulsion Donation Procedure.
According to the Billing and Accounting
departments, the donations delivered
amounted to 2,339,902 liters, the cost of
which is $614,664.
According to the technical reports of prior
field visits carried out by the Department
of Engineering, approximately 49,880 m²
of roads have benefited from the fulfillment
of the program’s projects.
Several meetings were organized with
municipalities to encourage them to
request donations of asphalt emulsions,
asphalts, and materials - as permitted by
Law - under The Path to Development
Program.
