In the security field, a CCTV and access control
system was purchased and installed in the Hernán
Garrón building and its corresponding parking lot,
aiming to strengthen the security, surveillance and
protection of the functionaries and the Company’s
assets; additionally, radios and operating switchboards
were furnished to reinforce internal and external
communications by means of a radio-communication’s
system.
The procurement for a fixed asset assessment was
commenced to count with a current value of the
Company and the offices at the Hernán Garrón Salazar
building were refurbished, thus enabling a better use
of the physical space and the improvement of the
working conditions of the employees.
A 3% of the lightweight vehicles fleet of the Company
was replaced. This resulted in a reduction in the
maintenance and operation costs, as well as in
an increase in the user safety and a reduction the
environmental pollution.
Risks at work insurance: An agreement was reached
with the Instituto Nacional de Seguros (INS) for
the direct payment of 100% of the compensation
for temporary incapacity, which represents an
approximate ¢163 million savings in premiums and
¢75.9 million in compensations. While the coverage of
the general liability insurance was increased to ¢3000
million and the premium was reduced to ¢10.4 million.
