El Alto Loading/Unloading Station
For several months, in 2015, the equipment at El
Alto Loading/Unloading Station was individually
and comprehensively tested. This includes the
definition of, and the tests performed to, all the
interfaces between SAP and the new system that
was implemented in El Alto station.
The system is essential for controlling the sales
process, the low stock alerts, and the accounting
records; improving customer management
procedures at the site.
Achievements in the context of process
improvement
Process mapping: completed in 2015, this project
set the standard for business process mapping in
the company. The project was submitted to the
Advisory Board and the Board of Directors for
review.
Information technology
The Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) infrastructure remained in operation.
Multiple software components were updated,
SAP modules; (ii) support; (iii) maintenance; and (iv)
improvements to the SAP software. Furthermore, this
new feature allows management of documentation
related to SAP projects, optimizing management
procedures. This is of considerable importance as it
allows users to improve the service, the controls and,
above all, correct the incidents related to SAP modules.
Verification and registration of fixed
assets with SAP
The Department of Goods and Services carried out
a project related to the verification and registration
of fixed assets; in so doing, the department
identified multiple improvements that could be
effected in SAP in regards to this matter. A technical
counterpart was consulted in matters related to
accounting, and the logistics and organization
of data, transport and other aspects related to
production.
Improvements in the process of supplier
evaluation and selection
Multiple improvements were made to the SAP
supplier evaluation process in order to optimize
performance and to adapt to the changes laid forth
by the Office of Acquisition Management.
