Maintenance Department in any of the terminals
or storage sites; it allows users to schedule
maintenance operations based on specific needs,
and measures the work load assigned to each and
every maintenance employee.
Preventive maintenance processes were automated
through the SAP software, which automatically
generates a notice of scheduled maintenance in
accordance with the maintenance and calibration
considerations of each individual piece of
equipment, and the strategy plan assigned to the
SAP technical object.
This improved the company’s cost accounting
procedures, as PM orders are converted into SAP
cost collectors by default, which improves and
expedites the information required for decision-
making and data quality assessment.

Portfolio Management Software
In 2015, the latest SAP Solution Manager (Solman)
feature, Solution Implementation, was put into practice
with the purpose of having an integrated information
platform through which users can manage, from start
to finish, projects related to: (i) implementing new
feature brought about fortuitous results, such as the
implementation of a vehicle management module,
through which the vehicle fleet and driving permit
management processes were automated.
This feature allows the vehicle fleet’s fuel
consumption to be recorded; it then generates the
corresponding accounting entries and completes the
bank reconciliation process automatically, in addition
to generating fuel consumption and yield reports.
The SAP project was implemented to work together
seamlessly with the Access Control System (SIA as
per its Spanish acronym), which controls the entry
and exit of vehicles in all terminals and storage sites.
The system has an interface which allows the user
to manage and control driving permits and types of
driver’s licenses.
In regards to corrective and preventive maintenance,
employees have a world class tool for the scheduling
and control of maintenance operations, wherein all
the equipment, the equipment locations, and the
installation techniques related to maintenance, are
integrated into a single database.
This allows for a greater degree of control in regard
to the maintenance operations carried out by the
