Fuel filling stations, aviation companies,
peddlers (traveling vendors who do
not have a fixed point of sale), and the
industry as a whole, accounted for
98.7% of total domestic sales in 2016,
down from 99.5% in 2015. The Instituto
Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE)
accounted for the remaining 1.3%, up
from 0.5% in 2015.
According to the annual sales by
product analysis, diesel and gasoline
represented 75.6% of the total sales
volume.
